Presentations

Turn account context and conversations into a presentation, refine it with the assistant, and share it with your audience.

Start with the audience and the next step

Presentations help you turn what you know into a useful conversation: prepare for a meeting, explain an opportunity, or give a prospect a clear follow-up. Start with the account context and the action you want your audience to take.

  1. Open Presentations and select New presentation.
  2. Choose a starting point such as Build a prospect deck, Recap a recent meeting, Build an account review, or Make a one-page brief. You can also write your own request.
  3. Tell the assistant who the presentation is for, what it should cover, and which account, meeting, or source material to use. Include the intended outcome and any length or tone preferences.
  4. Review the proposed outline and theme with the assistant before it builds the slides.
  5. Review the generated presentation before sharing it. Check names, claims, numbers, and the proposed next step against your source material.

For example: “Create a six-slide presentation for Acme Corp.'s sales team using our recent meeting. Summarize their priorities, explain the proposed workflow, and finish with the next steps we discussed.”

Use your brand assets and themes

Select Add brand assets before sending your first request to upload logos and images. They are added to your organization's asset library; tell the assistant which assets to use by name. Open the presentation's Assets tab to work with that library later.

Use Themes in Presentations to browse reusable visual styles. Themes control the presentation's colors, typography, and overall look. Tell the assistant which theme you want when describing the presentation.

To customize a built-in theme, select Duplicate and work on your copy. Open a theme to ask the assistant for changes to its palette, typography, or layout.

Refine the story and the slides

Use Preview to review the presentation. Ask the assistant to rewrite a slide, add missing context, or review the story and flow. A specific request—“Shorten slide 3 and make the next step explicit”—is easier to review than a broad request to improve everything.

  • Edit text: make direct changes in the preview, then select Done editing.
  • Slides: change slide order, duplicate a slide, and edit Speaker notes.
  • Comment: leave feedback on the presentation. You can ask the assistant to review the open comments and apply the requested changes.
  • History: review saved versions and restore an earlier one. Restoring also saves the current slides so you can return to them.

Editing controls depend on your permissions. If someone else is editing, follow the notice in the presentation before making changes.

Present, export, or share a link

Select Present to show the slides in presentation mode. Select Export PDF to open your browser's print dialog, then choose its PDF save option.

To let someone view the presentation in their browser, select Share and choose an External sharing option:

  • Private: keep access inside Athean. Existing external links stop working.
  • Anyone with the link: viewers can open it without signing in. The link expires after 30 days; the dialog shows its expiry date.
  • Specific people: add Recipient emails. Recipients must verify their email before viewing.

Select Save, then copy the share link and send it to your audience. A shared link opens the current slides, so later edits can change what recipients see. Use a PDF when you need to send a fixed copy.

To remove someone's access, remove their email and save. To revoke all external access, choose Private and save. Reset link replaces the link and invalidates the old one.

External sharing requires permission separate from editing. If you can edit but cannot enable external sharing, ask your administrator or contact support.

Use engagement to plan the follow-up

After someone opens the shared presentation, use Analytics to review Views, Verified viewers, Average time viewing, and Time per slide. Verified viewers identify recipients who completed email verification; a link view alone does not identify a person.

The summary covers up to the 100 most recent viewing sessions. Time per slide uses accumulated viewing time by slide position across shared versions, so consider any slide reordering when interpreting it.

Use this context to prepare your next conversation and prioritize your follow-up in Tasks. For a wider view of your team's efforts and results, see Custom dashboards.
